Dolan GXA Aluminium Gravel Frameset

I was looking for a bike for commuting, and supporting my ultra runner wife during competitions. I've used a GRX set, and custom DT wheels. The bike is very comfortable, robust, fun to ride, and looks great. I'm really pleased with it. The final weight is 10 kgs, which is OK for an entry lvl gravel. This was my first ever complete build: the lack of experience caused some issues (as expected), but finally I've managed to fix everything. The frameset is quality is great, all measures are precise, and building was fun! Based on my experience, I recommend Dolan products.

This is the first Gravel Frame-set I have ridden and is a great entry level frame.

This is a very fun to ride endurance road bike with the ability to stick large knobbly tyres on - meaning its not shy to some 'off the beaten track' adventures. I managed to get my build in at 9.1KG, which is surprisingly light for such a versatile frame and I wasn't even speccing a light build. This is only the second alloy road/gravel bike I have owned (with all others being steel) and it has dismissed any myths I held around alloy frames being harsh. I run 28mm on my road rides and I have not experienced any undue discomfort from long days in the saddle. Dolan were also excellent to deal with, answering any questions quickly with knowledge and experience. I would highly recommend this frame for commuting, gravel, road and light touring. Sensible BSA bottom bracket, internal routing only to the bottom of the down tube, and mounts for mudguards/pannier make this an easy frame to build and live with for year round riding.

Really, impressed. My questions prior to purchase were promptly and fully answered, purchasing was made simple and shipping took just over a week……to Australia! Have’nt built up the frame yet but it looks well finished, just the through axle threads in the frame needed cleaning out. I hope the rest of the build goes as smoothly!

I built this frame into a bike with a SRAM Rival drivetrain. It feels light and nimble and I'm very pleased with the ride. The internal routing was a breeze thanks to the opening near the bottom bracket shell. Customer service was also great from Dolan. They answered my questions promptly prior to purchase. I'm happily recommending the frame and Dolan.

Looked at a lot of frames before settling on this one. Used my Campag triple 9 speed gears, saddle, bars etc. off my old rim brake bike and Fulcrum wheels with TRP Spyre brakes. The finished bike is brilliant, able to ride towpaths, bridleways and roads. The frame is beautifully made and finished and draws admiring glances frequently. I am really pleased with it and find it does everything I want. A joy to ride and great value.
